Project 2: INFOGRAPHIC VIDEO ANIMATION
This time we need to make a basic video animation based on the FLIP group's research topic.
Based on the instruction given by Mr. Shamsul, we have grouped a team of 8 people.
- Rachel Yeo Rong Qing (Group Leader / Me)
- Jia Wen Bing
- Ruthlene Chua Zhen Si
- Liu Zi Yu
- Tan Jie Ying
- Isabel Tan Xen Wern
- Nadhrah Binti Abdul Razak
- Myra Elida Binti Abd Azis
Final Project
First we came out with several topic such as cybersecurity, women's safety, recycling, traffic safety and more. After voting and getting feedback from Mr. Shamsul, we decide to go with Cybersecurity as our topic.
Once the topic has been decided, we proceed to do the research. This is for helping us in creating the FLIP presentation slide.
Based on the research above, we come out our FLIP presentation slide.
After the presentation, we proceed to narrative and the storyboard.
To capture audience's attention, we decide to start our video with a scene that shows people getting scam at the first then follow by our content.
After the script and voiceover were finished, I started working on the animation.
I use Adobe Premiere to make videos, and I first match the picture and sound. Some sounds have too much content, and the picture is too short, so I can only extend the content of the picture or speed up the sound.
After the sound and picture are finished, I start to make the subtitles and put the titles in the picture.
Then add some sound effects and background music to complete the video content.
Final Outcome
REFLECTION
After this project, I have a deeper understanding of teamwork and information design. During the topic selection stage, we discussed multiple topics and finally chose "cybersecurity" through voting and mentor feedback. This process made me realize that it is crucial to listen to different opinions and combine external suggestions in team decision-making. Subsequently, we conducted in-depth research, wrote narratives, and drew storyboards to ensure the accuracy of information and the logic of visual presentation. This stage taught me how to filter and integrate information to make complex content more intuitive and easy to understand.
Entering the animation production stage, I used Adobe Premiere for video editing. The whole project not only improved my information design and animation production skills, but also taught me to continuously optimize and improve the content during the creation process. This experience gave me a clearer understanding of information design, and also enhanced my teamwork and problem-solving skills.
