REFIECTION

Experience:

When I chose to study this major, I knew that typesetting language or text was the most basic and most important
content of this major.  Therefore, it is important for me to learn how to format and express words better, including conveying the content to readers.  I've been studying design and art in general and I'm glad my experience this semester wasn't a disappointment and I learned a lot.  He was the most challenging and also allowed me to improve a lot of professional abilities.  , especially in the third task we have to create our own fonts.  It has been very helpful to me personally, I never knew the process of a font from being built to the time it is exported as a font file, this gave me a whole new understanding.  I am very grateful to Ms. Xin for helping me in this process. Every time I asked my questions, she patiently answered my questions and gave me feedback, which allowed me to better understand the professional content and pay attention to some details, allowing me to better understand the requirements of this major.  Overall, I am very grateful to study this semester, which has made me more progress.

Observations:

During these 14 weeks, I found that I would pay more attention to the differences and characteristics between fonts in my daily life. I would discover some text layout problems or professional content, and analyze and correct them. I think it is very interesting. I have been  I think layout design is very important, because in our daily life, layout design is used in books, flyers, posters, or online shopping, including the layout of web pages, and it plays a huge role.

Findings:

Since I came into contact with typesetting, I have only cared about the harmony between fonts and images, including whether the conveyed content is accurate and the classification between title content.  But after 14 weeks of study, I know the details of typography design and some design rules. As long as very small adjustments are made, the entire page layout will be different, such as the tilt angle, the corresponding text content of the main title and subtitle, and the rules of letter design.  .  For me, these are all supplements to the professional knowledge I know, and I am very happy to learn new knowledge.
