LECTURES
WEEK 9
- Noise Removal Using Traditional Methods
- Select the noisy section and go to Effect > Noise Reduction > Capture Noise Print.
- Then select all and go to Effect > Noise Reduction > Noise Reduction Process.
- Noise reduction is achieved during the noise reduction process by controlling these two parameters as well as controlling the frequency range in the EQ class window.
- In the Adaptive Noise Reduction window, the noise floor is the level of noise in the volume bar. If things start to sound strange, then the threshold may need to be adjusted.
- After noise reduction and compressing the audio, breaths, pops, and clicks will be reduced, which can be done manually by selecting the area and lowering the volume
WEEK 10
To generate different pitches in Adobe Audition, go to Effects > Generate > Pitch. In the Generate Pitch window, the modulation rate indicates how much the sound wave fluctuates. You can lower the pitch or adjust the sound. You can also adjust the sound from start to end by checking the Sweep Frequency box and adjusting the parameters at start and end.
Project 2-Auditory Imaging
For this character, we needed to find a traditional story to create the sound effects. I searched for a long time and decided to do the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. I first did the dubbing, recorded the lines and sounds using recording software, and then modified the sound overall.
I played the recorded sound to Mr. Razif. Razif said that my space sound was very loud and I should reduce the noise and remove the space and noise to make the sound more obvious. I made some changes later.
I found various sound effects and added them to the audio to modify the sound of the characters' dialogues and express the characters' tone of voice.

Finally, after determining the general sound content, I began to modify the overall details, adjusting the volume and method of the sound to make the sound effects of the entire story harmonious.

I found the video content in advance, and then modified it according to my own sound effects on the editing software to achieve the final effect.

Week 10 Exercise
The teacher gave us some texts and asked us to make them into advertising videos.I chose the third content.

I first recorded my own voice with my phone, then put it in Adobe Audition to reduce the noise, and then used the parameter balance to raise the sound a little.

Fig.2.2 Sound Processing
Create multi-track audio, process the processed recordings and downloaded background music. I want to create a slightly happy effect, but I don’t want the overall effect to be too chaotic, so I lower the effect of the background music a little.

Feedback
WEEK11: Mr. Razif listened to my recorded audio and felt that the space was very large and there was some noise, so I needed to reduce the noise and do some simple processing. I processed various parts of the sound, first doing a simple noise reduction, then reducing the sound space, and using reverb dry sound to achieve the effect I wanted.
Reflection
This task is very interesting for me. I can find various sound effects according to the effect I want. It is an innovation for me to create a new story that I am already familiar with. I like different modification operations to bring out different effects, making my original sound more interesting. During the production process, I need a lot of patience to listen to the differences in sounds and the consistency of sounds to achieve overall harmony.
