This week we are going to learn how to make a full publication design, you must create an e-book publication in PDF format.
First, you need to finalize the design of your choice to do this. Design a publication for your thesis. The conceptual design of the publication must be related to the research topic. Since an electronic publication format is required, the page layout, publication size, fonts and font size are essential elements in this design process. If the course requires them to be printed in hard copy format for future audits or MQA certification processes, it is best to keep the A5 size.

I wanted to feature popular anime characters on the cover, so I designed a girl who imagined various anime characters in her mind. I wanted to use warm colors and a simple layout. I wanted to put some animation illustrations in the page layout to make it more interesting to read.When designing the cover, I wanted to use warm colors and green as the main color, which is warm and full of vitality. The title uses dark green and I tried many different layouts.

The entire booklet was designed in Adobe InDesign. I wanted to keep the content interesting, so I tried different layouts for different pages.

The page numbers were inspired by references, and I wanted each part to move downward. The page numbers were designed by cutting out circles with lace using ragdoll operations in Indesign.

REFLECTION
Although I was very slow in producing the cover design for this assignment, because the title was always not so suitable. The content layout at the back is what I am best at. I had a lot of inspiration for page layout, so I finished this part very quickly. I was originally limited to Indesign and thought it was not possible to use it. Later, Dr. Hayati told me that I could do font design in Illustration, so I could design an artistic title that I was satisfied with. During this period, Dr. Hayati helped me a lot and told me that there is no perfect design or perfect paper, so I just have to do my best. But I still tried my best to make the layout design the best I think. I like this assignment very much. I will try different layouts to make the whole page look interesting, which makes me feel challenged and interesting at the same time.
